Hand dyed yarns

Aisti is our own yarn brand, including high quality hand dyed merino sock yarns. Our selection includes both fingering weight and DK (double knit) weight yarn options. 

Aisti is a Finnished word for "sense", as in seeing, hearing, feeling, and so on. The experience of knitting activates nearly all of our senses as we feel the yarn, smell the wool, see the beautiful colours and hear the gentle sound of our knitting needles. The sense of taste has been brought into the mix through the inventive and sometimes delicious names of the colours. 

The wool comes from farms in Australia that commit to mulesing free wool production. The yarn is exceptional in its quality, and the softness, durability and knot-free even texture will guarantee an enjoyable knitting experience. Dyeing is done in Finland.
